Immunization Update

The Texas Department of State Health Services has approved changes to the required immunization schedule for school admittance.

Beginning August 1, 2009 all students entering kindergarten will be required to have two Hepatitis A vaccines, two Measles, Mumps andRubella vaccines and two varicella (chickenpox) vaccines.

All students entering seventh grade will be required to have one dose of Tdap if it has been five years since their last tetanus containing vaccine.

Seventh graders will also be required to have one Meningococcal vaccine and two Varicella vaccines.

Please ensure that your child is up to date on immunizations!
