Born in Dallas, I grew up in Alvarado, Texas, a small rural town south of Ft. Worth.
With bachelor and master’s degrees in music from the University of North Texas and certifications in mathematics and computer applications I have taught band, orchestra, choir, music and mathematics in the public schools of Texas for 25+ years.
I am a published composer of music for band, orchestra, choir and other ensembles with performances both nationally and internationally. My latest arrangement, “What Child Is This”, has been recorded by a Ft. Worth flute choir and will appear this fall on a CD of Christmas music for flute ensemble.
My family is my wife, Pamela, who is a teacher at Sherman High School; my daughter, Stephanie, who is the director of student activities at SOSU in Durant; my son, Christopher, who is a graduating senior (oh yaaa!) at Dallas Baptist University; and our registered shi-tzu dog, Mozart.
