Basketball

• ALL athletes must register to be placed on a team.
• ALL athletes who register will be placed on a team; there are no “cuts”.
• ALL athletes must have an updated athletic physical form on file with school office.
• ALL athletes must have a signed COVID-19 waiver on file with the school office.
• DPL offers leagues for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade athletes (Boys and Girls teams)
  • 5th grade teams are all placed into one DPL division.
  • 6th and 7th grade teams are placed into either D1 or D2 division
  • 8th grade teams are either D1, D2, or D3 division.

  • Team assignments are based upon a skills assessment of the school AD and placed accordingly.

• Once Athletic Director registers the team with DPL, DOODLIO becomes active for all communication (email alerts)
• DOODLIO also has a phone app for download and is highly encouraged to use

• ALL schedule changes from DPL will be conducted through DOODLIO only
• Coaches / Parents should use DOODLIO for all communication for practices, games, travel, cancellations, etc • MUST sign up and create a DOODLIO account to receive emails, alerts, etc.

Season expected to start Saturday, January 14th, 2023

• Schedules not finalized — all dates shown are approximate – will be finalized early December • MOST games will be played in Dallas “area” DPL schools – we should expect to host 2-3 games during the season
• Games will be played on Saturday and/or Sunday’s (Sunday games start at 12:00pm (Noon)

• Saturday games could be scheduled between 9:00am – 9:00pm
